This is the black colored thermostat reader that is built into the control box to read the temperature on the Activator Tank. This is controlled by a single AAA battery. If you start to get strange temperature readings, or the temperature is stuck at one temperature or there are —dashes— across the screen or it says “Thermal Out” this means you need a new battery.
