Calibration/Thickness Beads – Pint Jar

THICKNESS CALIBRATION BEADS The most important thing about Vortexing a floor is getting a uniform thickness on it. To thick and your wasting money and material, to thin and it can be ripped from the floor with the turning of a truck tire. Thickness does make a difference. Think about the difference between a 1/16″ piece of aluminum plate and a piece of aluminum foil. Both are of the same material but have totally different durability’s when it comes to trying to tear them. The same goes for Vortex.

The calibration beads allow you to use exactly the amount of material you want on a floor or area with ease. When you apply your sealer, grab a hand full of these little 1/16″ milled aluminum beads and toss them over the floor area. They will stick to the sealer and when you Vortex over them, they will force you to apply the exact amount of material for the most durable of coatings. Go too fast and see the bead, that means you don’t have enough. Slow down until the beads disappear when you spray over them, now you got the right amount going down. Simple but most definitely needed to do the job right.
